This page is intended to
summarize the public debate (and government studies) on Plasma as a new
solution to the "flying saucer" mystery. This is distilled from my BLOG and
forum discussions and is a work
in progress. Opposing viewpoints are somewhat included, but there's really no need
to
re-hash old school 'UFOlogy'. We are in a new era. Also, be sure to check out the
Links section at the
bottom of the page. Governments are also getting on
board. The major known studies are listed here.
The British Ministry of Defense has recently (in May of '06) released a
study, formerly Secret, into the value of continuing to report UAP (Unidentified Aerial
Phenomenon) incidents to the Ministry. In other words, an estimate as to
whether there was a value in collecting such reports from the public. They
claim to cover over 25 years of UAP reporting in the U.K. while
referencing data going back as far as 1607 in the Czech Republic. It's a
massive and very technically-detailed study. It became public information due
to a Freedom of Information Act request. It's a must-read. Here it is:
Unlike the commercially-available
"flying saucer" information from the UFO Industry, here's a version
with no known agenda other than an analysis of the data. They actually offer an entirely
new (to me) scientific explanation that may cover a majority of previously
unexplainable sightings - and a host of other oddities. Yet, they don't pretend to have all the answers.
They know how to ask the right questions.
Preliminarily, I would summarize this (for myself) as a suggestion that
these UAP are the result of physical, electrical and magnetic phenomenon
in the atmosphere, mesosphere and ionosphere. This relates to something
caused by meteor re-entry and is so uncommon that it can't be studied. It
forms a buoyant plasma that "has no current scientific rationale".
Additionally - and amazingly - these charged buoyant objects can appear in
loose formation with a space in between them from which light is not
reflected!
These plasma fields can affect vehicles and persons. This can result in a
person retaining a vivid, yet completely incorrect, memory of the event.
According to the study this is a medically-proven fact. Yet, never forget that the British
invented the modern art of deception. This fact adds yet another dimension
to this amazing
document.
The last thing the UFO Industry wants is something
like this! Take cover, MUFON! The end is near...
Naw, don't worry about MUFON. The UFO Industry will find a way to survive!
If the public takes to Plasma, MUFON will find a way to turn it into a
t-shirt, a paperback book and a lecture series (and a government
conspiracy, of course). Ka-ching, baby!
There are four basic states of matter
in the Universe:
solids, liquids, gas and plasma. Plasma is thought to account for about 99.999%
of the total content of the universe. Additionally, there are three known
“field types”. These are: Magnetic, Electric, and Electro-magnetic.
“Buoyant Charged Plasmas” are an UNPROVEN theory for
UFOs. They are thought to be an extremely rare clumping of plasma that is
able to float, dart around just like UFOs, and have a color or colors. The
conditions that might create these plasmas are unknown because they
are so rare. They are attracted to other fields and dissipate quickly
and can be hundreds of feet in size. They can break apart and regroup. In a
city, there are so many things for them to be attracted to that they
discharge quickly. In a rural area, they can be attracted to power lines and
cars. They are rare above 20,000 feet and can be attracted to planes. When
planes flew lower and slower, such things as 'foo fighters' were more
commonly reported.
Humans that come in close contact with these fields (specifically
magnetic fields) are PROVEN to experience ‘alien encounters’ and other
very unusual experiences. There is also a potential military use for plasma.
Or should I say uses. The Russians claim to have discovered
some new “field types” and to have the ability to measure these. Such
information would be highly classified making such claims highly suspect.
Equally likely is a play in which the KGB tries to bait the U.S. into a
money-sucking snipe hunt.
And... Ghosts?
Indoor plasma has been "proven" in Russian laboratories and
this seems somewhat verifiable.
In terms of
UAPs, plasma can enter (reportedly) through a very small opening relative to
their size. They can puncture their way in. They can enter through a door,
chimney, keyhole, etc. This is from a Russian study referenced in the
British Ministry of Defence document (Vol 3. pg. 39 - 48 and Annex A Page A-2).
The rest is redacted, which adds intrigue or can avoid re-distributing
propaganda. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
Huh.
So plasmas can enter rooms! That'll make you think... At
least vampires require an invitation to come in. 'Ghosts'? Maybe not.
I believe that we (man) have probably been looking at Plasma since the Forties
(the 1940s).
Stealth technology began in the Forties. Decades later, the public became
aware of it. Now, the public is being introduced to plasma.
Primary Objection to Plasma
The primary objection from "UFOlogists" to plasma is that they don't feel it
accounts for the numerous sightings which appear to be solid objects. That
is actually incorrect. Though unproven, the MoD study believes that a
total absorption of light can occur between buoyant charged plasmas.
This makes them appear to be solid (often triangular) objects. The
scientific basis for this is unknown. Viewing angles, lighting and other
atmospheric factors are correlated (in dozens of charts and graphs) to
explore other reported shapes such as discs, cigars and pyramids.
I got involved with this
entire topic only because I found that an individual I had known for years
had attended the briefing on the so-called "Roswell
Incident" and was willing
to discuss certain things and listen to my questions. We talked for several
years.
During my first lunch with "The Colonel" in 1995 we had a casual discussion
of UFOs in general and Roswell in particular. He remarked that,
"There could
be life forms that we wouldn't even recognize as living things."
I always assumed this referred to some far-off planet in outer space as a
hypothetical. Not until recently did I consider that this might refer to
something right here on Earth with some known (but mostly unknown) effects.
"The Colonel" never
volunteered any information on any subject, but he would sometimes interject
an interesting comment. I tried to get an idea of what exactly was found at
Roswell, and he said, "stones". I jokingly asked him, "So you didn't find
any Little Green Men?" He didn't laugh. He paused. Then he said something
that I will never forget:
"There were no associated life forms which could be
perceived by any of the six human senses."
When some now begin to consider plasma as a life form we think that this is
something new. No way. Our best people have been working on these things for
decades in my opinion. Public knowledge will always be decades behind what's really
happening. That's a good thing.
"The Colonel" defined
three characteristics for the 3% of truly unexplained UFO events:
Highly unusual in terms
of speed and trajectory
Seeming ability to change
shape in terms of radar signature
Extreme lack of
stability, as though on the verge of existence of non-existence
How do these statements relate to the MoD study? Check this out (from Volume
3 Ch. 3):
"SETI searches for oxygen, nitrogen, etc. to find extraterrestrial life. A new
definition of life might be needed. Lateral thinking shows that other
inhabited parts of the universe may contain entities bearing no resemblance
to us. These entities may have no mass. [These next ideas are based on
un-credited ufo researchers]: UAPs have a reported ability to
materialize/de-materialize at will and have drag-less, noiseless flight.
Propulsion: Inertia-less. They do not push air to move and do not create
sonic booms. The can start/stop virtually instantaneously and
accelerate/decelerate to tremendous velocities. They (triangular UAPs
specifically) have the ability to merge/separate from a ‘mothership’,
possible ability to choose whether or not to appear to humans." [This is
paraphrased from the MoD document]. They conclude that ALL could be
explained by Plasma.
Assumption:
Some current “flying saucers” are actually a
CIA
cover operation designed as a deception to divert attention from other,
highly-classified operations or programs (which may include Black aircraft
and nuclear detection and other counter-measures along these lines). For
unknown reasons (to the public/me), the CIA
(and British and probably Canadian counterparts) believes it is time to move
into a new era of cover operation that involves Plasma. More likely, it is a
new
cover operation, rather than a replacement for an old one. The first phase
has been the release of the British MoD study on Plasma UAPs.
"Can
Plasma UAPs replace “Flying Saucers” as a cover operation?"
Why go to Plasma? (Possible Reasons)
1.Cheaper
and less disprovable than “flying saucers”
2.Equally
as distracting (for cover ops) and possibly safer to implement (this is
technically unknown to the public/me)
3.The
question is, why did the Brits release all the details about it? A possible
reason would be to introduce the concept to the public and build interest.
Create a new and intriguing mystery. Let the power of suggestion do the rest
(which is proven to work, given time).
4.In
time, this new operation could appeal to a newer/younger generation as we
get further away from the Fifties sci-fi era. Currently, “flying saucers”
are still very popular, but public opinion could change.
5.The
potential exists that the “flying saucer” cover story is blown (or about to
be blown). This is unknowable (to the public/me).
To really replace (or supplement)
“flying saucers” with Plasma, all of the elements that make “flying saucers”
so appealing need to be included. These are:
1.Extraterrestrial
component or the concept that Plasma may be a new life form! Of course, the
intentions of these new life forms would be dramatized as an unknown (same
as “flying saucers”).
2.There
should be a government conspiracy angle, such as a big showy DENIAL of
Plasma (a fake cover-up, in other words).
3.There
should be fear in the minds of the public. The UAP phenomenon is suspected
of triggering fear in the human brain (in fact, it's proven). Power of
suggestion creates the brains’ explanation for the experience. In other
words, it triggers a pre-programmed explanation (and this has occurred
throughout history: fairy tales, spiritual abductions, ghosts, 'old hags',
etc. have been replaced in the modern era by aliens, spacecraft, beam
weapons, abductions, etc)1.
Here's a BIG
opportunity to re-program public thought. (Based upon Intelligence
objectives that are unknowable).
4.The
British MoD study downplays the conspiracy angle (by being completely open
regarding their doubts). The CIA could take it a step further (fake
reassurance to the public that there is absolutely no danger, but
overdone to create suspicion of a conspiracy). In other words, the public
believes they are not being told the whole story.
5.Hollywood
would have to “get on board” (i.e. it would have to be financially viable
and play well on TV and movies). Then, people would really want to see these
things in real life. Due to the power of suggestion, history proves that the
public would begin reporting such sightings. Currently, Plasma is not
“famous” and there is no interest in seeing it. But Plasma Aliens?
That could really get things going. First, you offer a vague theory (the
British MoD release); then you up the ante (a big, showy CIA/Air Force/NASA
denial) and then – if you have the technical capability – you begin to
create “sightings”. At this point you have an operation in place that can be
used as a deception or diversion for many conceivable purposes.
So What Finally Happened?
After all of this analysis and many conversations I now
believe that Plasma UAPs are NOT a new cover operation. I think the British
simply felt that there was no danger or reason not to release the
information. They're over it. They will not continue to collect "UFO"
reports from the public and this document explains why. They believe "UFOs"
(UAP) are a natural, but
still very mysterious, phenomenon. They don't find it a threat to anything.
It doesn't threaten their national security, aviation or public safety.
On the U.S. side things have yet to shape up. Since nobody
cared about the MoD study, there has been no public pressure for any kind of
U.S. position. Americans love their space aliens. If "the government" wants
to finally tell "The Truth" about space aliens, fine. Americans don't,
for now, want to hear that it's "just Plasma".
"Sentient beings and
non corporeal intelligence." Wow.
The entire
British MOD study hinges on one key paragraph. The problem is, this
paragraph changes “viewpoints” (point of view) three times (in screenwriting
terms). First, the authors speak. Then they speak on behalf of “UFO
researchers”. Then they conclude as themselves. This can lead to confusion
on the part of the reader.
This one
critical paragraph (Vol. 3 Ch. 3 pg. 6 and the point numbered ‘4’) suggests
that plasma could be a life form. This is a conclusion of the
authors of the study. The authors then go beyond their own conclusions and
cite un-credited UFO researchers as stating that UFOs bypass the laws of
physics (but this is under the old-school assumption that UFOs are
solid craft). The authors then conclude (as themselves) that plasma can
do exactly the same things (in terms of aerial maneuvers and
dematerialization, etc.) without bypassing laws of physics.
This, along with all of the other data, leads to the implication that plasma
will one day be the proven solution to the UFO/UAP mystery. It could end up
going a lot further that just "UFOs".
"There is a revolution just beginning
in astronomy/cosmology that will rival the one set off by Copernicus and
Galileo. This revolution is based on the growing realization that the cosmos
is highly electrical in nature. It is becoming clear that 99% of the
universe is made up not of "invisible matter", but rather, of matter in the
plasma state. Electrodynamic forces in electric plasmas are much stronger
than the gravitational force.
Mainstream astrophysicists are
continually “surprised” by new data sent back by space probes and orbiting
telescopes. That ought to be a clue that something is wrong. New information
always sends theoretical astrophysicists "back to the drawing board". In
light of this, it is curious that they have such "cock-sure" attitudes about
the infallibility of their present models. Those models seem to require
major "patching up" every time a new space probe sends back data.
Why Do Astrophysicists Ignore
Electrical Phenomena? The answer is this:
Magnetism was known to exist in
the middle ages. But, the early astronomers (like their modern brethren)
were simply unaware of electrical phenomena. That is why, to this
day, most astrophysicists have never taken courses in electromagnetic field
theory or experimental plasma discharges.
Dutch astronomer Jan
Oort first discovered the 'missing matter' problem in the 1930's.
Electrical engineer Dr. Anthony L. Peratt, using Maxwell's and Lorentz's
equations, has shown that charged particles, such as those that form the
intergalactic plasma, will evolve into very familiar galactic shapes under
the influence of electrodynamic forces. The results of these simulations fit
perfectly with the observed values of the velocity contours in galaxies. No
missing matter is needed - and Newton can rest easy in his grave.
Recent Development!
The American Institute of Physics
has just recently announced that they will now officially recognize the
Plasma Universe as an official field of study in physics! Eighty years
late! But better late than never."
-by Donald E. Scott PhD (Electrical
Engineering) Quoted with permission.
In "The Electric Sky"
(Mikamar Publishing
ISBN 0-9772851-1-1),
Professor of electrical engineering Donald Scott systematically unravels the
myths of “Big Bang” cosmology, and he does so without resorting to black
holes, dark matter, dark energy, neutron stars, magnetic “reconnection,” or
any other fictions needed to prop up a failed theory.
Plasma scientist
Anthony Peratt has shown that laboratory plasma looks amazingly similar to
possible plasma formations seen in the ancient skies (or space). Around
the world pictographs show the same depiction, which is called
"Squatter Man". This is a long-lasting plasma, which would have
been in motion and would be just as terrifying to witnesses today
as it was in ancient times, were it to occur. The effect on the psyche of
man lasted for millenia. It was recorded on stone around the world.
"When appearing in
the heavens, this plasma discharge column--the axis mundi of
world mythology--evolved through a series of "plasma instabilities"
documented in high energy laboratory experiments."
Memories of the "Squatter Man"
A giant atmospheric discharge is an event of Biblical proportions. It
could have been a one-off deal. It could have occurred numerous times
during an era of unusual electrical activity. The artistic representations
are everywhere: Navajo rugs, Tikis, Chinese pottery, and pictographs from
every continent. These ancient events impacted mythology and early
religions. In fact, we still don't understand the phenomenon and have only
recently begun investigating it.
Fiction ALWAYS precedes public reports of alien encounters.
Sooner or later, Plasma Aliens will be the hot new thing. History will
repeat itself. To get out in front of the issue, I thought a historical
perspective might help us all in developing a “Plasmese Dictionary”.
“Little Green Men” originally appeared in sci-fi from the
1930s. They are later thought to have evolved into the “Stereotypical
Grey Aliens” (Greys). The first appearance of SGAs is thought to be
the 1934 novel, “If Tomorrow Comes” by L.A. Reitmeister. The sci-fi magazine
'Astounding' published a story titled, “The Mile Long Spaceship” by Kate
Wilhelm in 1957. This may have been the earliest story that included
telepathic contact between humans and aliens.
Betty and Barney Hill (famous abductees) were the first people to
report alien contact via telepathy. In 1961. The question is, why do Space
Aliens always appear in fiction years or decades before the actual
reporting of close encounters and telepathic communication with humans
(which also first appeared in fiction)? It sure smacks of "cause and effect"
(causality). It also suggests that a period of time is required for new
beliefs to sink in to the general consciousness.
How To Speak Plasmese
If aliens are mass-less Plasma entities - as theorized by The British
Ministry of Defence - they are a configuration of energy and the
transmission of thoughts between such entities would be unknowable. Our
physical proximity to the fields of these Plasma Aliens would trigger an
interpretation in the human brain. It would be a triggered response rather
than a "conversation". Still, you would be, technically, speaking Plasmese.
MUFON vs. The Big
Picture
"UFOlogists" are not UFO "insiders". They don't - with all due respect to
their credentials - have real insider knowledge. They can present their
theories very impressively, but that's different from having attended real
military or intelligence briefings on real incidents. It really is a big
difference. All the major governments are heavily involved in researching
plasma (as relating to UAP incidents). "UFOlogists" are outsiders. All they
can really do is speculate based on isolated incidents. They are the general
public with a PhD. When I read the British report, it had a familiar
feeling, let me put it that way. I like it on several levels. The general
public... opinions are all over the place. This is more cohesive and matches
with what I was told many many years ago. It's not inconsistent.
(quoting Dr. Greg Little):
"Back in the early 1990s, I obtained over 3000 articles on how
electromagnetic fields affect biochemical processes. I gradually became
aware that a wide-ranging study of the phenomena was being funded by US
agencies in a piecemeal fashion. That is, hundreds of labs located in
universities were funded to perform narrow-scope studies investigating
aspects of the phenomenon. But none of the labs, apparently, conducted
research on the entire phenomenon. In truth, the neurological effects of
different frequency strengths, in various frequencies, are now known. In
essence, what has now happened is that a new era in UFO research has
dawned—assuming that the ire in the extraterrestrial believers will die
down. Research in this field is actually far easier to conduct than most
people would expect, and if ufologists would put aside their preconceived
beliefs for the moment, a lot could be accomplished."
This idea of "narrow-scope" and the intelligence angle is really good. Ever since I sent my
article to Dr. Wood (approved by "The Colonel"), I really experienced the
huge gulf between narrow-scope perspective and The Big Picture. Of course, I
was originally emphasizing the inter-dimensional possibility. I didn't know
about plasma back then.
Just to sharpen up my point a bit: Narrow-scope studies don't allow the
"public" scientists to know what's going on. They can't interpret the
overall data. Only the "insiders" can (those with the security clearances
and positions to instigate such studies and evaluate their overall meaning).
The MUFONs of the world have only narrow-scope data to evaluate. Not the Big
Picture.
Protointelligence refers to something less than conscious
awareness. A pre-intelligence or un-molded intelligence. A transient
intelligence. Something we cannot relate to or comprehend.
“Underlying his
innovative approach to many different issues was the fundamental idea that
beyond the visible, tangible world there lies a deeper, implicate order of
undivided wholeness.” David Pratt
"Bohm believes
that life and consciousness are enfolded deep in the generative order and
are therefore present in varying degrees of unfoldment in all matter,
including supposedly "inanimate" matter such as electrons or plasmas. He
suggests that there is a "protointelligence" in matter, so that new
evolutionary developments do not emerge in a random fashion but creatively
as relatively integrated wholes from implicate levels of reality. The
mystical connotations of Bohm's ideas are underlined by his remark that the
implicate domain "could equally well be called Idealism, Spirit,
Consciousness. The separation of the two -- matter and spirit -- is an
abstraction. The ground is always one."
Michael Talbot,
The Holographic Universe, HarperCollins, New York, 1991,
p. 271
When the British Ministry of Defence released a study suggesting UFOs
(UAPs) were actually, most likely, plasma (the most common thing in
the universe), they legitimized a huge range of weird areas of human
experience. Ghosts, time loss, alien encounters, and UFOs - ALL potentially
explainable as plasma. Is it possible that plasma will also
unite science and religion?
... the implicate domain "could equally well be called Idealism, Spirit,
Consciousness. The separation of the two -- matter and spirit -- is an
abstraction. The ground is always one." David Bohm (quantum physicist)
Bohm suggests that plasma is a type of "protointelligence". He suggests that
there is no real difference between Spirit and Matter.
"There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is
infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation" Mary Baker Eddy (Christian
Science founder)
Eddy suggests that Mind is the only thing that exists (in infinite forms).
Eddy and Bohm seem okay. But what
happens when all of this hits the pop culture? Will mankind rise to a
greater level of peace, love and understanding? Oh, hell no.
Questions of the day:
Can plasma be modulated by thoughts?
Is there an inter-dimensional component to plasma? (Is that
suggested?)
Are we transported to the next life in or as plasma?
Does plasma, seemingly, defy the laws of physics?
Are matter and spirit simply different densities and configurations of
plasma?
UFOs: Various Institutes and Centres have studied the
phenomenon. Much more detail is in Volume 3, Chapter 4 of the British MoD
study.
Russia:
Plasmas: 20 – 30 scientists have performed research to
prevent air target detection (the rest is redacted, meaning that more is
known but remains classified).
Near Field Effects: The Russians in the early ‘90s have
conducted studies and there is an implication that several new “field types”
have been discovered and exploited. Are congratulations in order?
China:
China has an announced program for the study of UAP
(announced in 1993). Few specifics are known.
U.S. & Canada:
The medical experiments which replicated “UFO” effects on
humans were conducted at The University of Ontario. The U.S. is primarily
busy with its “UFO publishing industry” (the MoD reports' exact words).
